Dance Teaching Highlights
Lynnfield Middle School - Nov. 2019 - Feb. 2020

Lynnfield Middle School is located in Lynnfield, Massachusetts and serves approximately 700 students, from grades 5-8. Lynnfield Middle School holds students to high expectations and their school model is as follows: to support and challenge all students to meet their full potential as individuals and as citizens of the global community.
My dance teaching and choreography experience at Lynnfield Middle School took place from November 2019 through February of 2020. I worked closely with Stephen Bloom the Middle School Music Director for the Lynnfield Public Schools, teaching instrumental, choral and classroom music.

During my time at Lynndield Middle School, I taught the student dance for their 2020 Spring Musical. The musical was written by 8th grade students and used songs from many of our favorites throughout time. The show took place on February 7th, 8th and 9th 2020.

Dance Philosophy
Teaching jazz, tap, ballet, and acrobatics to young dancers ages 2-8, and choreographing electrifying musicals and creative performances for adult groups, Starr’s passion for dance is all about empowering her students to express their unique voices through movement!
Starr strives to create an inclusive, vibrant space where each student can discover the joy of dance and explore their emotions with freedom and confidence. She focuses on the fundamentals while leaving plenty of room for creativity and self-expression, helping students connect with their bodies and build confidence.
Dance is about more than just technique—it's about feeling the music, telling a story, and experiencing the magic of movement. Through a blend of teaching methods, Starr aims to spark inspiration and encourage every student to shine—whether they’re performing on stage or discovering new possibilities in the classroom.
